In summer 2005 Tallinn TV-Tower celebrated its 25th anniversary. As a part of anniversary celebrations Levira (former Estonian Broadcasting Transmission Centre) arranged an International Broadcasting Conference dedicated to Digital Switch-over and Mobile Media issues. Conference took place in Tallinn TV-Tower Conference Centre on August 25 -26, 2005. Conference attracted more than 130 participants from 19 countries around the globe and set a real base for successful start of digital broadcasting in Estonia in 2006. Audience cathered Representatives of respective EU organizations and Top Management of Broadcasters and similar other organizations from the Baltic countries, Russia, Belarus, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Poland, Hungary etc Eastern & Central European countries as well as from Scandinavia and Western Europe. |  |
Issues discussed related to Digital Switch-Over were Role of Broadcaster in Digital Switch-Over, Successful Business Models, Experiences from Western Europe, Regulatory Issues, EU-Regulations. The second day was guided by topics of Mobile Media closing the Broadcasting Conference with panel discussion "If there is a future for Mobile TV/ Mobile Media". During the Conference also an Exhibition took place where leading producers and service providers demonstrated their products and services. The festive occasion of Dinner and Birthday Party in the evening of 25th gave an opportunity to celebrate and have a nice discussion with colleagues/customers/suppliers around Europe in relaxed environment. |
